Jacob joined CLF in 2019 after earning his Bachelor’s in Personal Finance with a concentration in Financial Planning from UW–Madison, and earned his CFP® certification shortly after. He works with individuals and business owners whose financial lives have outgrown the do-it-yourself approach, integrating financial, tax, and investment planning into a single strategy rather than three disconnected ones.

Jacob enjoys sorting through the complexity, helping clients understand how their investments and employer retirement benefits fit into their larger financial lives. That means tax and estate planning, withdrawal sequencing, Roth conversion timing, deferred income opportunities, Social Security claiming, debt management, and owner compensation. Ultimately, it means asking whether the plan holds up through a bad stretch of markets and the variables no one controls.

Jacob lives in Madison with his wife and dog, and serves as treasurer for the Lussier Community Education Center on Madison’s west side. He spends most of his free time going to local concerts, playing music, traveling, and keeping up with Wisconsin sports.
